One of the country's leading producers of caravans has revealed that it has registered record turnover in 2011, owing to its responsiveness to consumer demands in the face of a toughened economic climate.
Despite difficult trading conditions, the company recorded £90 million in turnover to strengthen Bailey of Bristol's position in the marketplace. Over the last 12 months, Bailey has balanced production with demand to avoid the possibility of over-supply.
It explained that the "well-documented success" of its flagship Unicorn range in 2010 led the firm to respond to the positive customer feedback and incorporate "Unicorn DNA" into other products, resulting in much-celebrated updates to the Pegasus and Olympus series.
"With further innovative product launches planned for 2012, including the all new Retreat Leisure Homes, Bailey is optimistic looking forward," a spokesperson for the company said.
"The company has spent the past twelve months laying the foundations for its next phase of development and with the award-winning Alu-Tech construction system now firmly established with the touring caravan market it sees this patented technology as the key to unlocking numerous new opportunities in the future."
