People with static caravan insurance who have enjoyed previous holidays in Withernsea might be interested to learn that Sand-Le-Mere Caravan and Leisure Park in Tunstall is undergoing a redevelopment.
Andrew Howe, managing director of Bridge Leisure - which recently took the site over - has confirmed that a bar, restaurant and swimming pool are part of the plans for the project, to go alongside attractions already in evidence, such as the crazy golf course, the Hull Daily Mail reports.
What's more, while there are currently 550 static caravan pitches across 126 acres, this is to be extended to 900 spots as part of a scheme to regain those lost to coastal erosion.
Mr Howe noted that the location is situated in a beautiful part of the country, with seaside views and said: "We want it to be the best of its kind on the east coast … It is already a great holiday park. It is to get bigger though."
