People looking to experience a fantastic British summer
experience have been given a bit of good news recently: that the huge £3
million caravan park recently developed near Ludlow will open early, on May 9th.
A report for the Shropshire Star revealed that the 135-pitch
20-acre park built near the River Teme by Morris Leisure will bring plenty of
caravan insurance customers to the area of natural beauty between Ludlow and
Richards Castle, as well as £1 million to the south Shropshire economy.
Workmen started building the park in July 2011 and it was
originally understood by all involved that it would open sometime during the summer.
However, the decision was made to open up early in order to accommodate
holidaymakers who plan to visit the fourth annual Ludlow Spring Food Festival,
which takes place on May 12th and 13th.
Edward Goddard, managing director of Morris Leisure, told
the newspaper: "After months of waiting, we are delighted to announce that
Ludlow Touring Park will be open for business on May 9th and bookings are now
being accepted. It's an exciting time for everyone associated with the new
park, which is generating interest from caravan and motorhome owners from
across the UK."
