Caravan insurance customers rejoice - it looks like work has just started on an upcoming £2 million caravan and camping site at Strathclyde Park, north of the border in Scotland. The news was revealed by the Motherwell Times, which said it could provide a fantastic place to spend a long break with the family.
The organisation was given clearance by North Lanarkshire Council and handed a 60-year lease to the Caravan Club in order to operate and maintain the popular site, which sits closely to the Raith Interchange.
Caravan Club senior development manager Grahame Passfield told the newspaper: "This is going to be a superb site for caravanners and campers. Our design is intended to create more than just basic facilities. As well as the necessary amenities, it will be attractively landscaped and maintained, and will be of considerable benefit to the local community."
Following the refurbishment project, the site will include a pair of toilet and shower blocks, as well as an information room, cycle racks, a dog walking area and even a children's play area. On top of this, there'll be room for 107 pitches, as well as 50 tents and 296 storage pitches - the perfect facility for all caravan fans!
