Caravan Club sees resurgence in visits and interest

Caravanning really is hitting a high in the UK this year, if the most recent announcement is anything to go by. Enquiries on the Caravan Club's website exceed one million in one month, which has "delighted" the organisation in July.

"This is tremendous news during a time of recession and shows that not only is the Caravan Club the preferred choice of caravanners, but that caravanning continues to be a very popular leisure pursuit," it explained, noting that people are reflecting more on what the UK has to offer.

The organisation explained that with the number of choices available both home and overseas, the Caravan Club is now Europe's largest touring organisation. It is also able to deliver value to its members, it continued, noting that its ferry booking package and in-house staff are particularly enjoyed.

Additionally, the recently-improved online community website Club Together has given caravan insurance customers the chance to share their experiences, hints and tips with members and another 70,000 registered users, while celebrity bloggers such as Rowland Rivron and Vicki Michelle provide a lot of interesting discussion points.

Catherine Ford, the head of publishing at the Caravan Club, concluded: "This is wonderful news for the Club. I am confident that the increase in enquiries will result in more bookings and more members for the Club."
